Olawumi O. Winniran Ade-Apata,. was born in Ibadan, Oyo state, Ile Odùduwà to David O. Winniran and Mary A. Winniran. Married with two children. Olawumi went to St. Helen’s primary school in Ondo town. St. Monica’s girl’s grammar school, Ondo. She also attended Adeyemi college of education, Ondo. She was trained to be a teacher in English language and French. After graduating with NCE (National Certificate of Education). I went ahead and had a bachelor’s degree in English language in the same school which was then under the control of Obafemi Awolowo in Ile-Ife. She taught in a secondary school for a year as a youth coper at Apata Grammar School in Ibadan between 1999 & 2000.
Olawumi USA in 2003 and then went to school to become a respiratory therapist. Started working as RCP till date. I love to help people and that’s my major reason I chose respiratory therapy as a career. I love travelling, socializing and making friends. I hate injustice and believe that all humans should be treated equally as part of our national anthem and rightly put “b’a ti b’eru l’a b’omo” meaning “slaves and non-slaves are born the same way”. I currently serve as the global treasurer of Oodua Action Movement and a Co-founder of National Association of Odùduwà Heritage.
